THE TAHLEQUAH-CHEROKEE COUNTY ROTARY
HAS A HEART FOR THE COMMUNITY IN 2009!

In an effort to truly serve our community, we moved our FOOD BASKET PROJECT back to December 2009.  With the Holidays being a time of great generosity in our community, we wanted to examine when the community was most in need. We felt that mid-winter seemed to be a good fit as community members have struggle to pay heating and electricity during the coldest part of the year. We hope this will be of the most benefit to those in need.

In the past, the club got into the Holiday spirit by giving away FOOD BASKETS to those in need within our community. In 2007, we gave away 125 baskets. Through the project, members of the club got a chance to work with young volunteers from the National Honor Society and Rotaract Club at NSU. In addition, many brought their children to share in a volunteer experience. Here are a few photos from 2006!
